Always a lover of creativity and innovation, Rosanna Contadini attended the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome in the mid-1980s. A decade that has within it a natural vocation for the contamination of styles that, 30 years later, continues to arouse fascination and attraction among lovers of design and fashion.
Once she completed her studies, she immediately began to experiment with her style in the art of ceramic manufacturing, creating objects for the home and the table with an innovative taste.
The early 2000s are the beginning of a new adventure: Neo and its neoprene thread productions.
“I went to the hardware store because I needed a hammer and some nails and I came out with a bag full of colored threads of different sizes, soft to the touch and with a creative potential waiting to be explored”.
And so, partly by chance and partly by challenge, the threads of this new material took the shape of the first necklaces and baskets worked by hand and crochet.
The uniqueness of the products, combined with the quality and versatility of each object, have opened the doors of the most important museum bookshops in the world to the collections signed by Rosanna Contadini: the Contemporary Art Museum of Chicago, Mude, Accademia di Brera and many others. Not to mention some of the most exclusive trade fairs and exhibition spaces in Europe and the USA.
Neo products are authentic Made in Italy craftsmanship that never stops innovating and renewing itself by opening uo to new materials, also with a view to greater environmental sustainability, as demonstrated by the recent creations with rope, PVC and metal mesh.
